Sony Ericson Xperia Ray
Likely to appeal to gadget lovers with an eye for detail, the Xperia Ray has many compelling features. Whilst Sony Ericsson’s latest is smaller than the recent Xperia Play and Xperia Neo, its 3.3” screen is a decent size for most applications, but by no means the biggest display on the market. The display is powered by their established Bravia engine and offers the crisp results you’d expect. With an 854×480 pixel count, the resolution is only 26ppi less than the iPhone 4.
The camera is the same 8.1MP as found on the well-received Xperia Arc, and offers a single LED flash and quick shutter speed. Featuring Sony’s patented Exmor system, it lets you capture high-quality, bright pictures and videos in poor light conditions. This is a facility which modern handsets often lack, and a real boon for those who want an adaptable camera phone. HD video recording is also available at 720p with a simple button touch.
Users are encouraged to login to Facebook as soon as the phone boots up, and the integration with the social networking site is impressive. Albums pop up in your phone’s gallery, you can comment directly on the pictures and share recommendations and likes from the music player. Notable Facebook events are all automatically visible in your calendar, so you’re unlikely to miss a vital engagement.
Other applications include the Sony Ericsson Music Player which supports shuffle and smart playlists, the music mood mapping application SensMe, TrackID music recognition and expanded sound with Sony’s xLOUD engine. Motion gaming, and FM radio and integrated YouTube should eat up any free time you may have and the mobile phone has all the traditional messaging and connectivity options you’d expect in a modern handset.
The Xperia Ray offers high-specification technology for a relatively cheap deal and is a good option for sociable tech-heads on a budget. Visit www.phones4u.co.uk/ for more choices on the best contract phones.

A Full Review Of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011
When it comes to protecting internet users from the malicious effects of cyber crime and viruses, nobody does it better than Kaspersky. However, with the company adding new products to its range of paid for and free antivirus software all the time, how does 2011′s offering compare to previous versions that, at one point or another, we’ll probably all have had some level of exposure to?
If you do even the quickest of searches online, you’ll see that users are rating the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 suite extremely highly, with 4 out of 5 stars and even 5 out of 5 stars a common sight on antivirus review sites and online security blogs.
However, what exactly are users identifying with so closely in order to come up with such raving reviews? Well, it would seem that one of the primary appealing features is the price, which represents extremely good value when viewed in light of the fact that up to three users can be fully protected by the product.
The product itself isn’t a small one by any means, taking up 110MB, but it is so user-friendly that you won’t really be aware that the software is running. Furthermore, if you’re really maxing out your laptop and have multiple programs open at the same time, the Kaspersky antivirus checking activities are reduced to their minimum level in order to ensure that the computer system doesn’t become overloaded.
As for the interface, the look is clean and modern, in a cool green shade that is a far cry from other antivirus programs that flash up in angry red on your screen, performing no function other than making you want to click away from them as quickly as possible. Navigation is simple and, most importantly of all, logical; if you’ve never used antivirus software like this before, Kaspersky’s range will ease you in gently.
With the online world seeming to be becoming more and more dangerous all the time, with new threats emerging every week, there has never been a better time to make sure you’re fully safeguarded against cyber crime.
HTC EVO 3D Heading to UK Shortly
Europe awaits the invasion from America – no, this is not a World War 2 joke – this is the release of the EVO 3D by HTC which was first released on the American market a few months ago.
The Taiwanese firm has released a number of great phones in the last few years and some good but sterile phones of late. So how does the HTC perform and is it worth them sending it over from state side? Do the Brits have a love of 3D gimmickry on par with those across the pond and is the phone good enough to satisfy those needs?
Well the first thing we’ll look at is the one you want to know about – the 3D. The phone is an excellent 3D device and offers users a wonderful experience in this area relative to what has been released previously. The HTC EVO’s large 4.3in screen is excellent for viewing stereoscopic images on. Its ability to stream 3D footage from the Watch service is also welcome and places it ahead of all other phone manufacturers as it allows quality 3D footage to be watched via its screen.
The 3D recording abilities of the phone are also quite good. It can record and take photos via the 3D medium and does so in a fantastic manner. You can watch footage in 720p and take 5mp photos with the device. The screen shows these with quite a large area for movement – more than any 3D devices we have seen so far on the market.
The phone itself handles all this with ease due to its 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. This is what makes the phone good, as it is a fast and capable phone for everyday use as well as offering a great 3D experience.
It also comes with Android 2.3 and HTC Sense, meaning it is what they call a ‘smooth operator’ stateside.
One of the downsides of the device is its weight – it is over 170g – far from light. It is also quite thick with a width of 12.1mm – all the 3D technology has to fit somewhere. The device also comes with a 1.3mp front facing camera for video calling, has DLNA streaming for 2D and 3D footage and a large 1730mA battery to top it all off and ensure the device is powered after all your fidgeting with its 3D capabilities and multi tasking.
So, yes Europe awaits and fortunately for not much longer with EVO 3D deals expected in the coming months.
The Joys of The Rexel Mercury Shredder
When you’re looking for the ideal office shredder for your home working life, price is only one of the factors you should consider.
There is no point in buying the cheapest on the market, then discovering that the product is simply not up to the task.
When it comes to paper shredders that give the most satisfaction, many people have recommended the Rexel Mercury Paper Shredder.
For one thing, it is trouble-free. Plug it in, switch it on and it’s a pretty sure thing that you’ll get the quality you need without worrying about the need to fix anything.
Many shredders give users problems with jams, but if you should have any with the Rexel version, pushing the reverse button should fix it in a second. You won’t need to take the lid off and poke around inside, the machine is an absolute dream when it comes to maintenance.
The shredder can slice and dice through anything you challenge it with, whether that’s ordinary mail, glossy ads, expired credit cards, stapled papers or even construction paper and card stock.
If this is the first time you’ve bought a shredder, and you have years worth of documents stored up, there’s no need to worry. The machine won’t jam or over-heat, it will happily take what you put into it all day long and hold up perfectly.
It’s also very easy to use – those who are not familiar with how to operate shredders won’t have to worry about ploughing through a thick instruction manual, it’s an absolute cinch to use.
If you have been unsatisfied with your own shredder’s speed, it could be time to upgrade it to the Rexel Mercury Shredder.
It doesn’t have a problem with any kind of product you put into it; it just munches happily and speedily through the lot.
Bluetooth headsets – enjoy the hands free environment
Gone are the days, when people used to roam around, without that extra little weight in their pocket of mobiles and did not care about it at all. It never occurred to them that they are missing out on something. All it was a kind of an inconvenience in case of emergencies to search all around for public telephones but other than that nothing. But time has changed the complete scenario. One feels incomplete without it. The first thing they pick while leaving is their mobiles.
After mobiles, came the Bluetooth technology that brought about a new revolution. The bluetooth headsets became both a useful and fashionable accessory. They were convenient for those who wanted to answer mobiles all the time even while driving. There are a number of things that you must look out in a headset before purchasing it. The first and the foremost is the sound quality. You must be able to receive and sound signals clearly. The headset must also be capable to reduce the noise signals making the conversation even more clear. The Bluetooth headset must also be compatible with your phone. It is not necessary that all headsets will be able to connect with your phone.
I tech bluetooth headsets are one of the best in the markets. They not only match the required standards but are stylish enough. They are one of the sleekest headsets of the plethora of headsets available in the market. They will surely make many envious when worn. They are compatible with almost all the smart phones and their latest model enables you to answer calls as well as listen to music. They are available in a number of colors that gives you a wide range of choice. One of their unique features is that you could pair the same headset with two mobile phones simultaneously.
If you are gaming lover, then you could choose the tech gaming headsets to enhance your playing experience. These headsets allow you focus entirely on your game instead of taking care of a microphone along with the gaming consoles which could be really frustrating sometimes. The headsets you get for yourself must be really comfortable and must not hinder your performance. The headsets if contain a volume control function are advantageous as one could adjust the volume as per the need. Again sound quality is also important in gaming headsets too. The sound should be clear and noise free too. One can find all these features in I tech headsets.
Businesses See Productivity Rise From Own Technology Usage
Not so long ago, taking your own laptop into work would have been frowned upon by suspicious managers more trusting of the decrepit 20-year-old PCs than of your shiny new gadget, but these days, times have changed, and one piece of research has actually revealed that taking your own gadgets into the workplace can directly lead to a massive increase in productivity.
A YouGov survey found that businesses which allowed, and even encouraged, employees to bring in their own technology benefited from productivity increases of up to 30%. The research also found that more and more firms are starting to hand their staff members technology budgets, designed to fund the purchasing of new computer equipment that employees can use both at home and at work.
However, even though these figures are difficult to argue with, while the increase in the use of “the cloud” in businesses up and down the country means that it isn’t really an issue using a non-work owned computer to carry out daily functions, some managers clearly remain suspicious about the practice.
The survey found that a number of businesses are anxious about allowing external devices that are difficult to identify and track to access their internal networks, while businesses that try not to encourage home working (perhaps due to the potential distractions away from the office of online videos featuring comedians like Reeves and Mortimer), despite that being an increasing trend, clearly don’t want to reduce reliance upon work computers.
The fact remains, though, that as technological improvements come into our lives faster than ever before, even the most established and old-fashioned of businesses will need to adapt to the modern ways of making the most of technology, or else risk being left behind for good in a competitive and fast-moving world.

The Sony Xperia Play Captures Hearts and Minds
Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play is essentially a genetic splice between an Android smartphone and a PlayStation controller.
Although Sony was a little late in adopting Android as its major operating system, and initially fell behind the huge market surge in smartphone sales that was the direct result of Android, the Xperia Play Sony Ericsson’s is helping bring the company into the innovative smartphone market.
In order to differentiate itself from the rest of the market, it was essential for Sony that they come up with something entirely novel that would capture the hearts and minds of smartphone users. Capitalising on their PlayStation market they developed a smartphone with a game controller that slid out from the phone in a similar manner to the way some smartphones incorporate a physical keyboard. This controller has a direction control pad, mechanical control buttons, and central circular control pads.
The phone comes with six pre-installed games which benefit enormously from the phone’s 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. They run very smoothly indeed and the physical buttons mean that valuable display area is not taken up with virtual control buttons. The display is also very clear and bright with rapid response times so there is no discernable visual lag.
The games are PlayStation certified and games developers have taken up the challenge to develop new and port older games to the Xperia Play and Sony have released a number of development tools in order to expedite this process. So far there are around 60 compatible games, but sources say that this is likely to climb to over 150 by the end of 2011.
If you are a dedicated gamer, or even a frequent one, then this is likely to be the smartphone for you. The only possible criticism is that because of the slide out game controller the phone is obviously somewhat thicker that other Android phones, however, if you love playing games while on the move then this is a price that is worth paying.
Certainly Sony took a gamble with this device and it is the company’s most innovative product since the Walkman. Get the new Sony Xperia Pearl and other great mobile phone deals today at dialaphone, visit the site now at http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/
